The purpose of this course is for athletic trainers and physical therapists to identify, examine and provide recommendations for the running athlete’s feet. The attendees will gain understanding on updated footwear, proper foot posture and evidence based prevention strategies for orthotics.  Participants will also be able to identify what minimalist shoes are and their benefits.  In addition, attendees will gain understanding of the Foot Posture Index and how to apply it to their patients.  Attendees will also gain understanding in rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance considerations with running athletes.
